SSMFA In Brief





The purpose of the SSMFA is:



(a) To promote amateur football for youth aged seven (7) to eighteen (18) years.



(b) To provide practice equipment, protective equipment, uniforms and facilities for the athletes who participate as a part of the South-Side Minor Football Association.



(c) To train and equip the coaches and referees who are a part of the South-Side Minor Football Association.



(d) To act as an engine of growth for amateur football in the immediate area.

2022 Fall Tackle Football Registration!

Greetings All,
South-Side Minor Football (feeder program to John Barsby and NDSS) is now conducting registration for Pee-Wee and Jr. Bantam Fall Tackle Football. Please see below for details.
Online Registration for the Fall Tackle Football Season Is Now Open!
Pee-Wee: Players aged 9, 10 and 11 yrs. (born 2013, 2012 and 2011) (24 Roster Slots)
Jr. Bantam: Players aged 12 and 13 yrs. (born 2010 and 2009) (34 Roster Slots)
We supply:
• Full Set of Protective Equipment
• Practice Jersey
• Game Jersey
• Game Socks
• Mouthguard
You Supply:
• Your Own Cleates
• Your Own Water Bottle
• A Great Attitude/Commitment
Practices begin Tuesday, August 9th and will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8 PM on the John Barsby HS Fields throughout the season.
Home Games will be played on Saturdays. Away games will be played vs teams from Greater Victoria, Cowichan, Nanaimo, Parksville and Courtenay.
Games begin Labour Day Weekend with the BC Championship played the first weekend of December.
