Who Can Play?
We have two divisions of play for all interested boys and girls:
Pee Wee: Grades 3,4 and 5
Junior Bantam: Grades 6, 7 and 8
Practices: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7 PM @ John Barsby School
First Practice is Tuesday March 15th
Last Practice Thursday, May 5th
Games: Are played on Saturdays @ The John Barsby HS Field
Pee-Wee Games Are Played: 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM
Jr. Bantam Games Are Played: 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM
First Game is Saturday, March 19th
Last Game is the Mighty Bowl Saturday, May 7th with the following Itinerary:
Pee-Wee Mighty Bowl: Game 1 is 10:00-11:15 AM - Game 2 is 11:30 AM-12:45 PM
Jr. Bantam Mighty Bowl: Game 1 is 1:00 PM-2:15 PM - Game 2 is 2:30 PM-3:45 PM
Registration for Spring Flag Football is now taking place!
New players need only attend our Tuesday or Thursday Practices (John Barsby HS Field) to register. Players need to show up at 6 PM with their parent/guardian and ask for Coach Larry Cooper. Players can register on Saturday Game Days beginning at 10 AM.

Cost: $35.00 cash or cheque payable to South-Side Minor Football Association
Players need only to supply cleates, sweats and a great attitude. All other uniforms and protective equipment are supplied by SSMFA.
Coaching provided by members of the John Barsby Bulldogs 2010 BC High School Football Champions and members of the Nanaimo District HS Islanders, BC Seimi-Finalists.
Of Note: Flag Football is Fun, Safe and provides an excellent foundational skill set for young people that is very applicable to their tackle-football days ahead! The majority of the local high school players began their careers in this leage!
